The things that genuinely could shift in the next six months are narrower than the headlines suggest.

Keep doing state compliance work, but make the work portable: inventories, vendor documentation, notices, testing records, human-review procedures, data-correction workflows, and incident-response processes. Those artifacts survive better than statute-specific binders when a law is amended, replaced, or challenged.
Track the Task Force and federal deliverables on a watch basis. Adjust when a state actually changes its law or a court actually invalidates a provision. Colorado changed; that is the lesson.
